Andaman Tour Plan…

Day 1: Welcome to Port Blair – Start Your Journey

Your Andaman journey begins the moment you land at Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair. It’s best to book an early morning flight so you can arrive by 9:00–10:00 AM. After checking into your hotel—preferably a premium resort on the southern side of Port Blair—freshen up and take a short rest if needed.

Once you’re ready, step out to Corbyn’s Cove Beach or Marina Park for your first glimpse of Port Blair’s seaside beauty. If your resort has a private beach, you can also spend the morning relaxing there.

Important: It’s recommended to pre-book your inter-island ferry tickets online through a travel agent. If not, use the morning session to visit Phoenix Bay Jetty and secure tickets for Port Blair → Havelock → Neil. Also confirm your bookings for Jolly Buoy / Red Skin at the Andaman Tourist Office and the Ross–North Bay–Viper trip at Marina Park.

After lunch, head to Chidiya Tapu and Munda Pahar Beach. If time permits, enjoy the 1.5 km trek to Munda Pahar and end your day with a stunning sunset at Chidiya Tapu Beach.

Note: The southern belt also has many other quiet and beautiful beaches, but covering them comfortably requires at least one extra day in your itinerary.

Day 2: Explore Jolly Buoy / Red Skin & Wandoor Beach

On the second day, your itinerary takes you to some of the most pristine waters in the Andamans. Start early for your trip to Jolly Buoy or Red Skin Island (depending on the season). These islands are famous for crystal-clear water, rich marine life, and glass-bottom boat rides that show you the magical underwater world.

After returning, visit Wandoor and spend some quiet time at Wandoor Beach, one of the most peaceful and scenic places in South Andaman. Take your lunch on time.

In the evening, visit the Cellular Jail to experience the historic Light & Sound Show. It’s an emotional and powerful way to connect with the island’s past, and it sets the tone for the days ahead.

Day 3: Full-Day Baratang Trip (Option-1)

3. Your Perfect Andaman Tour Plan The Ultimate 7Nights–8 Days Island Itinerary - Baratang

Day 3 is entirely dedicated to the Baratang Island adventure—one of the most exciting parts of your Andaman tour plan.

Start very early in the morning (around 4:00-6:00 AM) pass the Jirkatang Check Post (open in specific slots) and transit through the Jarawa Reserve Forest by convoy. If you are lucky, you can see Jarwars standing/sitting on/beside the road. Please note, stopping the car/ photography is strictly prohibited.

Upon reaching Middle Strait Jetty, cross the creek by boat, book your tickets, then proceed to Baratang.

Here, you will explore:

  • Mangrove boat ride through narrow green tunnels
  • Limestone Cave (a fascinating natural wonder)
  • Mud Volcano (optional but unique)

The entire trip takes a full day, so return to Port Blair by late afternoon or early evening and enjoy a restful night at your hotel.

Note: An extended trip to Ross and Smith Island is exciting and rewarding, but it needs 2 extra days to cover.

Day 3: Ross Island & North Bay (Option-2)

If you want a lighter and more activity-filled day, drop Baratang and choose the Ross–North Bay–Viper Island tour. You’ll get:

  • Coral viewing and water sports at North Bay
  • A heritage walk at Ross Island
  • A brief historic tour at Viper Island

Suggestion: Extend your trip for one more day so that you can cover both the Baratang and Ross IL-North Bay-Viper Trip without any hurry.

Day 4: Off to Havelock – The Island of Beautiful Beaches

Today, your Andaman tour plan takes you to the most celebrated island—Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Island). Leave for the jetty early (around 6–7 AM) and board your ferry. The journey itself is breathtaking, with endless blue water and occasional dolphin sightings.

After arriving, check in to your resort—preferably stay near Vijaynagar Beach, Govindnagar Beach, or Radhanagar Beach. Freshen up, enjoy the nearby beach, take lunch, and then head to the mesmerizing Kalapathar Beach for a peaceful evening. If you prefer, you can enjoy the sunset from Vijaynagar or Radhanagar as well.

Day 5: Elephant Beach Adventure – Snorkeling, Scuba & More

Your fifth day is all about excitement. Wake up early and head to the jetty for your boat ride to Elephant Beach, a hotspot for snorkeling, scuba diving, and adventure activities. The water here is incredibly clear, and the corals are vibrant and full of life.

If you prefer a quieter and adventurous experience, you may trek to Elephant Beach instead of taking the boat. This is possible if you stay near Radhanagar Beach last night.

After enjoying water sports, visit and spend your evening relaxing at Radhanagar Beach, which has been rated one of Asia’s best beaches. Watching the sunset here is an experience you’ll never forget.

After returning to your resort, pack up your stuff for the next day’s trip. —preferably stay this night near Radhanagar Beach.

Day 6: Neil Island – Calm, Clean & Naturally Beautiful

Now it’s time to leave Havelock and head to Shaheed Dweep (Neil Island). Start your morning with a quick seaside walk at Radhanagar or the beach near your stay (Radhanagar Beach is preferred due to the attached backwater which fills during high tide). Thereafter, take breakfast and catch your morning ferry to Neil.

Once you arrive, check in to your hotel and start your island tour with Bharatpur Beach, famous for its blue water and water sports. After that, visit Laxmanpur Beach No. 1, a stunning white-sand beach perfect for sunset lovers.

Note: Extending your Havelock stay by an extra day is highly rewarding. It allows for slow, relaxed exploration and gives you time to enjoy the beautiful seaside jungle trek to Neil’s Cove Lagoon, which is an experience in itself.

Day 7: Sunrise, Natural Rock Bridge & Return to Port Blair

Your Perfect Andaman Tour Plan The Ultimate 7Nights–8 Days Island Itinerary - Neil

Wake up early and begin your day at Sitapur Beach, where you can witness one of the best sunrise views in the Andamans. After breakfast, explore Laxmanpur Beach No. 2, known for the iconic Natural Rock Bridge, also called the “Howrah Bridge.” The spot is best during low tide when colorful shells, corals, and tidal pools emerge.

By afternoon, check out and take your ferry back to Port Blair. The journey takes about 1.5–2 hours. After checking in to your hotel, enjoy a simple, relaxing evening, may be at Corbyn’s Cove/ Merina Park/Private beach of your resort.

Note: If you enjoy slow travel, consider extending Neil Island by one more day—its beauty truly deserves extra time.

Tips: Stay in a resort/hotel near Merina Park or the Airport.

Day 8: Netaji Subhash Chandra Boss Island (Ross IL)

On your final day (assuming your return flight is in the evening), if you haven’t already visited on Day 3, take a half-day trip to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island (Ross Island). Walk through the ruins of old British buildings, spot free-roaming deer and peacocks, and discover the untouched beach at the far end of the island (need to hike stairs to reach either side of the island). It’s one of the most beautiful and historically rich spots in the Andamans.

If time allows, you may also visit North Bay—famous for underwater coral, glass-bottom rides, snorkeling, and sea walking.

Hopefully, you’ve booked an evening flight for your return. If so, finish your morning trip by 1 PM, have your lunch, pack up, and ensure you reach the airport by 3:00-4:00 PM for a 5:00-6:00 PM departure.

Optional Modification of the Andaman Tour Plan

Your Perfect Andaman Tour Plan The Ultimate 7Nights–8 Days Island Itinerary - Havelock 3

You can interchange Day 3 with Day 4 in your Andaman itinerary. In simpler terms, visit Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Island) on Day 3 instead of Day 4. If you follow this alternation, your revised Andaman Tour Plan will look like this:

Day 1: Arrival at Port Blair → Corbyn’s Cove → Chidiya Tapu / Munda Pahar
Day 2: Jolly Buoy / Red Skin Island → Wandoor → Cellular Jail & Marina Park
Day 3: Swaraj Dweep (Havelock) → Vijaynagar / Govindnagar → Kalapathar Beach
Day 4: Swaraj Dweep → Elephant Beach → Radhanagar Beach
Day 5: Shaheed Dweep (Neil Island) → Bharatpur → Laxmanpur Beach No. 1
Day 6: Shaheed Dweep → Sitapur → Laxmanpur Beach No. 2 → Return to Port Blair
Day 7: Baratang Island Trip or Ross Island–North Bay–Viper Island Trip
Day 8: Ross Island (if not done earlier) → Return Home

Suggestion: For a slower, more relaxed pace, extend your stay by an extra day, so that you can cover both Baratang and Ross IL-North Bay-Viper Trip without any hurry.

Extra Destinations to Consider (For Longer Trips)

If you ever plan a longer holiday (10–18 days), you can explore many more gems like:

  • Ross & Smith Island (Diglipur)
  • Mayabunder & Rangat attractions
  • Little Andaman (Hut Bay)
  • Long Island

These places need time, so keep them for your next Andaman vacation or plan a 18 days trip to Andaman Islands.

Final Thoughts

Your Andaman tour plan doesn’t have to be rushed. With the right pacing and thoughtful itinerary, you’ll enjoy the islands exactly the way they’re meant to be enjoyed—calmly, beautifully, and with a sense of wonder. Whether it’s your first time or your fifth, the Andamans always leave you with memories you’ll cherish forever.

If you want a relaxing, scenic, and unforgettable experience, follow this 7–8 day itinerary—and when you have more time, return to explore the places you couldn’t cover this time.

Have a wonderful Andaman trip ahead! 🌴✨
