- By Air: Fly to Shillong Airport (Umroi Airport), located about 35 km from Laitlum. Alternatively, you can fly to Guwahati Airport; the next morning, travel to Laitlum Canyon, 3 hours away by road.
- Nearest Railway Station: Railway track is still absent in Meghalaya, even after 76th year of independence of the nation INDIA! This happened most probably to completely disconnect the unwanted entry of Bangladeshi people to enter and reach the center of India! The nearest railway station is Guwahati.
- By Road from Shillong: Laitlum Canyon is approximately 21 km from Shillong. You can hire a taxi or drive yourself along the scenic route through the East Khasi Hills.

I can visit this place any time of the year, though it is suggested to avoid visiting during peak monsoons as the area becomes slippery and foggy, reducing visibility.
